JOURNALLING

WRITE IT DOWN, LET IT OUT...

PXL_20221028_103851132.MP.jpg

To me journalling is so much more than just a diary, or pen on a blank page... to me, it's a hugely cathartic process, and it's as messy, chaotic, and beautiful as my creative mind.

Having studied art for so many years, it took awhile to get into journalling/ sketchbook work, because to me, 'sketchbooks' were synonymous with work/ having to fill a book, for research, something that was going to be assessed... not a place for free speech and self-discovery (though actually tbh in my final year at uni, that's exactly what I was determined to make mine!).

Journalling to me now, is a mindful practice, an outlet, and my project-planner... it's my everything!! I now run journalling workshops and events & try to spread the joy of journalling as much as I can.

I have all kinds of wellbeing tools to support my journalling process - because you can't always be naturally inspired, can you?! Sometimes you need a little help, or a nudge in the right direction - which questions to ask yourself, or what to dig deeper into... and some support for once you get there.

I'm talking affirmation cards, oracle cards, essential oils, poetry books, snacks (yes, snacks), plants, songs, Pinterest boards, Instagram feed, stickers, crystals, all sorts of things.
