oh hello, a christmas decoration made from an actual Christmas tree!?
What do I get?
a lovely slice of wood (with all it's character intact), embellished with a fine layer of cyanotyped paper on the front... these showcase a wide range of cameraless photographs of flowers, and plants collected from local farms, gardens and oblidging hedges.
What can I do with it?
you'll find that a nice strong piece of 'baker's twine' has been stapled to the back of each slice - this means they will hang flat against any door, wall, mirror etc, and hang fancing forwards on your tree.
The backs have been left natural wood, so you can add your own little message to it, or drip a few drops of your favourite festive essential oil to the back and like magic it's a diffuser!
Why are they so special?
I love to upcycle and reuse, and chucking christmas trees seems so bloody wasteful!!! so I kept mine (I have done for years) to make into decorations... and well this year... I'll be selling them at the farm this tree actually grew on - magical!!

We've already been over to collect this year's tree, which you have to know is destined to become next year's decorations!!!!
With the mixed packs of 4 or 10, I'll pop in a little bottle of Holiday Joy or Holiday Peace oil from Me & Frank, so you can try adding some comforting Christmasy scents to the back.
As a natural and handmade product, all the slices are unique and will vary from those photographed. No two slices will be exactly the same size, as it's a chopped up tree trunk! Some will still have cross-sections of branch at the edges, and you can see the texture of the rings through the ultra-fine paper that's on the front... these are wonderfully tactile items, and perfectly designed not just for christmas, but for the whole year! (as long as you're not superstitious about Christmas trees being bad luck after New Year...)
