Hi honey, are you a bored or lonely crafter??
You want to make things... but somehow you end up scrolling, snacking, or convincing yourself you’ll “start tomorrow” (we’ve all been there).
I’ve put together a little list of local creative workshops and groups across Torbay and South Devon, run by brilliant independent businesses, to try and help you get out of your head and back into your hands.
Whether you’re craving a regular crafty catch-up, a one-off workshop, or just an excuse to leave the house and do something different, there’s something here for you.
And if you’re thinking “I’m not creative” or “I’m not very arty” - perfect. These are all beginner-friendly, low-pressure, and actually enjoyable (no awkward art class flashbacks, promise).
✨ MAKE THINGS WITH YOUR HANDS ✨
🌙📚 1. Book Club (obviously) @ Liberty Feist Studio, Torquay (£15)
Process-led journalling hang-out, with access to all my art supplies... which includes a whole lot of stickers!! All journalling styles welcome - there's no right or wrong way to do this. Held monthly, includes unlimited refreshments. + More women’s creative workshops, and wellbeing inspired art.
🧶 2. Yarn Addicts Anonymous @ Crafty Stitch, Torquay (£1)
Are you a yarn addict? Well there's no shame here - Why not join our fortnightly meet-up for all crafters, at our yarn shop in St Mary Church Torquay. Simply purchase your ticket (covers cost of a hot drink) then bring your craft project along.
☕ 3. Creative Collective @ Gaia Coffee (CIC), Paignton (Free)

🧘♀️🎨 4. Stretch & Sketch @ The Mansion, Totnes (£25)
Join us for these soulful evenings, where art meets yoga. Built around creativity and connection in the beautiful Old School Hall. No experience needed, just arrived with an open heart and curious mind.
