"Not forgotten" ((Surround))  is a cyanotype artwork that playfully captures the shadows of a ring of forget-me-not flowers, broken down into their individual buds and petals, scattered on the page; formed under a blazing sun & preserved forever in this cameraless photograph.

The piece has a range of deep blue tones, created in both the sensitiser coating stage (by applying several layers and building depth with different brushstrokes) and in the exposure stage (with varying amounts of light hitting the paper). The shapes are formed using a collection of what may have otherwise been discarded flowers; passed their prime or fallen from the flower, lovingly collected and dried in my studio for to show that they have just as much beauty and value now, as before they were cut!

The artwork is approx. 8" / 200mm, and is sold unframed.
